What we store on your device

We use only storage that is strictly necessary for the service to work, exempt from consent under the CNIL's guidelines:

• The draft of your event (hosts): your answers in the creation flow are kept in your browser so they are not lost if you close the page before paying.
• A device identifier (guests): it enforces the one vote per device rule, which protects an honest result for everyone.
• Your sign-in session (hosts): it keeps you signed in to your space after you have used your access link.

Audience measurement

We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics and measure page speed with Vercel Speed Insights. Neither sets a cookie, neither creates a lasting identifier, and neither follows you to any other site. They answer "how many visits, from which countries, on which pages", and nothing else. That is what exempts them from consent under the CNIL's guidelines.

How we measure our ads

Our advertising outside Europe goes through Meta's networks (Facebook, Instagram), TikTok and Pinterest. When somebody arrives here from one of those ads, the address carries a click identifier that we place in first-party storage, for the sole purpose of knowing which ad led to a purchase.

Two durations, not to be confused. On your device, that identifier is kept for 7 days. If you place an order within that time, a copy is attached to your order and follows that order's retention period: it does not disappear after seven days.

No script from these networks runs on this site: it is our server that reports, and it does so at three moments: when you open the creation flow, when an order begins, and at the purchase. What is sent then: the click identifier, the amount and the currency once an order exists, your email address in hashed form when we know it, and a technical order fingerprint whose only use is to link the start and the end of the same purchase. Each network receives only the click identifier it placed itself: none of the three ever sees another's. Pinterest is the exception at the first of those three moments: we send it nothing until an order exists.

From the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, none of this applies: no advertising identifier is stored on your device, none is attached to your order, and nothing is sent to Meta, to TikTok or to Pinterest. That is why this site has no consent banner, and we will not run a European campaign without installing one.

We also honour the Global Privacy Control signal: if your browser sends it, no advertising measurement is applied to you, wherever you are.

Payment

During payment, our provider Stripe may set its own trackers, strictly necessary for the security of the transaction and for fraud prevention. They are governed by Stripe's privacy policy.

If this changes

If we ever add a non-essential tracker where consent is required, this page will be updated and a banner will be shown to you before anything is set. We do not intend to do so lightly: the absence of a banner is a promise this product makes, not an oversight.
